Hal Jordan - Green Lantern

Here's the first larger sketch image from my Justice League Big 7 Redesign deviation:


Notes: I've always liked the post-Golden Age Green Lantern (Hal Jordan) design. And even though the Big 7 that I based this series off of technically includes John Stewart and not Hal, I've always been more of a Hal Jordan fan which is why I placed him instead of Stewart. I did however lift some design elements from Kyle Rayner's outfit so this isn't that much of a redesign but I feel that there really isn't much to improve upon the existing Green Lantern motif (which is probably why they hardly changed the costume for the movie).

Anyhow, my basic thoughts on this wasn't to add much armor or padding since the Ring is supposed to provide it's own shield layer of sorts. The pose is rather unimaginative but this is the character that I spent the least amount of time working on (which is why it's the first to go up).

Will do a render pass on these sketches when time allows and the mood hits me. In the meantime, hope you all like.
